Webinar and Transitionese website launch

Inviting hubsters to take part in a webinar with the team from the Transitionese project.

The webinar will be scheduled for WED 26 October 6PM UK time and/or THU 27 October 6PM UK time. We aim for it to will last 1 hour and 30 min. Please fill in this doodle to help us organise and set the date or dates (depending on how many people want to participate and when).

What we’ve been doing: enquiring into and developing tools and process to support more diversity in languages and translations of material in the Transition movement.

What we will do at the webinar: Sara, Pedro and Deborah will take participants on a guided tour of a new website showcasing material translated in different languages; talk about Transifex, a tool for collaborative translation; share ideas and learnings on what might support teams of translators going forth. After our presentation we will have space for reflection and discussion and to talk about next steps. Sarah will be hosting and facilitating (so we are in good hands here!).

Our intention with this webinar is to

  • Celebrate the launch of the Transitionese website;
  • Make new tools more familiar and accessible;
  • Gain more understanding on how these tools can be useful for the hubs;
  • Share a space for reflection on languages, translations, and flow of documents in the transition movement;
